How this horsefly trap works. The black ball is heated by the sun and moves back and forth in the wind. The horsefly is attracted by this moving heat source, as it thinks it is prey. The horsefly lands on the ball and flies disappointedly upward toward the light. It then flies into the trap attached at the top of the funnel.
