Description:
Horse tendons are extremely vulnerable and prone to injuries. Many tendon protectors cause the tendons to become too warm or fit too tightly. We understand the importance of a protective yet comfortable fit. Discover our self-developed XO2 Boot in the elegant CLX colors! A revolutionary design based on extensive research into the anatomy of the horse’s leg and made with a unique mold developed by BR. The result is a must-have tendon protector that offers optimal protection, absorbs shocks, and keeps the horse’s leg as cool as possible.

Form-Follows-Function:
The CLX XO2 Boot is developed according to the Form-Follows-Function principle and provides your horse with perfect protection without compromising comfort. The protector fits seamlessly on the horse’s leg and covers only the areas where protection is needed. The shell is subtly thickened on the back and sides of the fetlock to optimally protect the leg in these important areas.

Outer side:
The unique aspect of the shell is that it is anatomically shaped to the horse’s leg. This ensures the protector fits perfectly on the leg. The unique shape of the shell provides protection where needed but also makes the protector 10% lighter than others. This also allows your horse unrestricted freedom of movement, so your horse never feels the protectors are in the way!
The shell is hard to provide good protection but at the same time extremely flexible so it nicely conforms to the horse’s leg. The cleverly placed ventilation holes ensure the tendon stays cool.

Lining:
The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermo-formed lining. Due to the composition of the material, the lining has optimal properties. The lining provides an extra shock-absorbing effect because of the air trapped in the spaces created by the material’s composition. During impact, the air is pressed out through the extremely breathable lining and ventilation holes. This ensures your horse is optimally protected against shocks.

Closures:
The right closures are also extremely important. If the protector is too loose, it can cause chafing, but if it is too tight, it can restrict blood flow. The straps of the closures are slightly elastic and equipped with hook-and-loop fasteners so the tendon protector can always be secured in the right place. They conform to the curve of the shell for a streamlined look and a good fit.
