Use is permitted solely as a repellent against:

• (tropical) mosquitoes and biting flies on humans (riders);



• mosquitoes, flies (including stable flies) on horses not intended for consumption;



• mosquitoes and ticks on dogs.

The instructions for use must be followed.

• Do not use on children under 3 years old;



• When applying to horses, apply the product only before riding;



• Apply the product to horses or dogs only indoors (in a ventilated area) or outdoors over a hard surface to prevent soil contamination;



• Rinsing treated horses and dogs is only allowed at indoor wash stations or at least over a hard surface to prevent soil contamination.

The product is intended for non-professional use only.


Additional Information:

Tedax® is a repellent against (biting) insects registered in the Netherlands and is not an insecticide. Insects are repelled but not killed. Tedax temporarily alters the scent patterns of the skin and coat, making it less attractive to biting insects. Protection starts immediately after application.



Tedax is unique in that this repellent is suitable not only for use on horses but also on dogs and yourself! Additionally, Tedax does not smell bad but has a pleasant fresh scent. Tedax protects for up to 24 hours against mosquitoes, (biting) flies, and stable flies, and up to 4 hours against ticks.



Tedax works based on the active ingredient icaridine, also known as Saltidin®. This substance is a safer alternative to DEET because icaridine does not damage plastics, causes less irritation, and is safe to use, while being at least as effective as DEET in repelling insects, even at lower doses.



Tedax has been extensively tested for effectiveness and safety and has been evaluated as such by the Ctgb (Board for the Authorization of Plant Protection Products and Biocides) before being marketed in the Netherlands.

Active Ingredient:

Saltidin® (Icaridine) 20% (200 g/kg) (CAS 119515-38-7).

Contains:

Ethanol (CAS 64-17-5), Propan-2-ol (CAS 67-63-0).

General Instructions for Use:

Hold the spray can 10 to 15 cm from the skin while spraying, keeping the spray nozzle away from your face. Treat the skin with a slow sweeping motion. To apply on the head, first spray a small amount into your palms and then spread over the head and neck. Protection starts immediately after application. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Due to health risks, apply the product no more than once per day on humans, horses, and dogs.

Note: factors such as temperature, humidity, and sweating can affect effectiveness.



Instructions for Use in the Netherlands:

Horses: Use Tedax® on horses that will be exposed to mosquitoes or flies (including stable flies), for example before a trail ride, competition, or grazing. For a 450 kg horse, apply 200 g of Tedax® each time by spraying evenly over the body surface for at least 2 minutes. Tedax® protects horses for 24 hours against flies (including stable flies) and mosquitoes (based on 90% protection).



Humans: Use Tedax® just before expected contact with (tropical) mosquitoes or biting flies, for example before a trail ride or competition. Apply Tedax® evenly to uncovered body parts. Avoid spraying on eyes and mouth. For face and neck, spray a small amount into the palm and spread over the skin. Tedax® protects humans for 6 hours against (tropical) mosquitoes and 4 hours against biting flies (based on 100% protection).



Dogs: Use Tedax® on dogs that will be exposed to mosquitoes or ticks, for example during walks, hunting, dog runs, or outdoor shows. For a 40 kg dog, apply 11 g of Tedax® by spraying evenly over the body surface for at least 7 seconds. Tedax® protects dogs for 8 hours against mosquitoes and 4 hours against ticks (based on 90% protection).



Instructions for Use in Belgium:

Horses: Tedax® protects up to 24 hours against biting and non-biting insects (such as horseflies, flies, midges, and mosquitoes) and up to 4 hours against ticks. Spray about 10 - 15 centimeters from the skin until the coat is slightly damp. On the head area, you can apply Tedax® with your hand. Protection starts immediately after application. It is advisable to apply Tedax® to the horse before insect exposure, for example before a trail ride, sporting event, or grazing.



Humans: Tedax® provides reliable and long-lasting protection against insects. Even application on the skin protects up to 8 hours against common and tropical mosquitoes, up to 5 hours against biting flies (e.g., horseflies or deer flies), and up to 4 hours against ticks. Tedax® feels refreshing and is easy to apply to the skin. Protection starts immediately after application.
